02 CLEAR MATH, NO SURPRISES

Know what goes
into the number.

A crypto profit calculator is only useful when the fee assumptions are visible. Here’s exactly how this one treats your trade.

01

What it covers

One spot buy and one full sale. Enter any coin ticker as a label; the calculation works with any asset because it uses only the values you enter. Prices and totals are shown in USD.

02

How fees are applied

Buy fee = quantity × buy price × buy fee rate. Sell fee = quantity × sell price × sell fee rate. Each rate is a percentage of that side’s trade value. Total fees are the buy fee plus the sell fee.

03

The formulas

Investment costquantity × buy price + buy fee

Exit amountquantity × sell price − sell fee

Net profit / lossexit amount − investment cost

ROInet profit ÷ investment cost × 100

Break-even pricebuy price × (1 + buy rate) ÷ (1 − sell rate)

Fee rates in the formulas are decimals. For example, 0.5% = 0.005. Break-even is the sell price where net exit proceeds equal total investment cost.

04

What it doesn’t include

No live market data, slippage, spread, network charges, taxes, partial fills, or exchange-specific fee tiers. Enter the prices and fee rates that match your trade. This is a calculator, not financial or tax advice.

03 QUICK ANSWERS

Before you calculate

How do I calculate crypto profit?

Multiply the quantity by the sell price, subtract the sell fee, then subtract the buy cost including its fee. This page also shows the percentage return and break-even price.

Can I use this to calculate profit on any cryptocurrency?

Yes. Type a ticker as an optional label and enter your own buy price, sell price, quantity, and fee rates. The calculator does not fetch coin prices.

What does the break-even price mean?

It is the minimum sell price per coin at which the proceeds after the sell fee equal your original purchase cost including the buy fee.
