Calculation and fee scope

For quantity Q, average purchase price B, buy fee rate b, sell fee rate s and assumed sale price P, total cost = Q × B × (1 + b), net sale proceeds = Q × P × (1 − s), and net loss = total cost − net sale proceeds. Rates in these formulas are decimals.

For a chosen loss L, stop price = (total cost − L) ÷ [Q × (1 − s)]. This models one full sale of the entered quantity. The weighted average input is the sum of purchase values divided by total quantity before buy fees; if buy fee rates differ across purchases, calculate their combined fee separately rather than treating a single rate as exact.

The estimated stop is a price, not a promise of an execution price. Slippage, gaps, taxes, network charges and fees paid in a different asset are excluded. A stop order may execute away from its trigger or not execute. No live prices are provided. Return to the crypto profit calculator for other scenarios.
